Technical founder who's spent two decades building and scaling platforms across Latin America. A CTO who became a CEO. He can architect systems and close deals. He calls himself a "Business AI Engineer."
PATIOTuerca.com (2004): Founded Ecuador's leading automotive marketplace. Acquired by LatAm Autos, which went on to IPO on the Australian Securities Exchange, the first Ecuadorian startup to achieve this milestone.
Vive1.com (2010): Co-founded Ecuador's premier real estate platform. Acquired by Navent and rebranded as Plusvalia.com.
Evaluar.com (2013): Co-founded and served as CTO for a multi-country employee assessment platform operating in 16 countries, serving millions of users annually.
Taxo.co (2022): Co-founded a tax technology company. Achieved break-even; now Board Director.
The Vancouver Chapter
Jay moved from Ecuador to Vancouver, BC, starting fresh in a new country while building ioZen. Divorced, rebuilt. Moved countries, rebuilt. Left his last company, rebuilding. He knows how to start from zero.
Same entrepreneur. Same drive. New chapter. Bigger mission.
Digital entrepreneur with 17 years building companies across Latin America and the United States. Founded an innovation studio and led it for two decades. Then he stepped away to bet everything on ending bureaucracy.
ROISense: Built an innovation studio that solved client problems first and built products second. The product lines that emerged: agentic promotions, crypto payments, loyalty systems, and AI automation. All of them came from fixing what was broken.
MIT & UCEMA: Studied AI, Blockchain, and Crypto Economics. He studies early so companies don't have to.
The Growth Chapter
After two decades running ROISense, Mauricio stepped away from daily operations and joined ioZen as Co-Founder & CGO. He did it for one reason: the chance to build with Jay Moreno, the engineer he trusts most to get the AI right.
At ioZen, he leads growth strategy, market expansion, and business architecture.
